D-man Jay McKee is in a similar position a lot of veteran player's find themselves in nowadays. He wants a contract but unfortunately remains at home without one.

McKee, who played in Pittsburgh past season, is currently skating with Niagara University and keeping himself in shape. There are a number of NHL GM's who want to give some youg high draft picks every opportunity to make a roster and therefore are putting experienced players like McKee and Mike Mottau on hold for the moment.

McKee is also keeping his eye on options oversees and will take his game to Russia or another country is nothing materializes here.
