Morrison Hopes To Sign By Weekend

Oct 4

Brendan Morrison beleives he proved in training camp with the Vancouver Canucks that he can still contribute to an NHL roster. Word is Vancouver was looking for a little more sandpaper to center their fourth line. Sources tell me three teams have contacted the veteran since his release.

One of those teams is believed to be a Western Conference team while the other two come from the East. Those close to Morrison are confident a contract will get ironed out by the weekend.

More to come,
