Flyers Re-sign Jeff Carter

Nov 13

In an expected move the Philadelphia Flyers officially re-signed sniper Jeff Cater to an eleven year contract worth $58 million. TSN's Bob McKenzie reports the deal keeps Carter's cap number down to a reasonable $5.27 million. Pretty fair deal for a player averaging 36 goals over the last three seasons.

Carter will be 37 years old when the deal expires.

Flyers GM Paul Holmgren has been busy as of late recently extending the contract of Claude Giroux for three additional years. Giroux's deal comes in at $11.25 million.

Next up could very well be Ville Leino who's eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on July first.
